A meme? Yes, a meme.

by Steph on August 14, 2008

I’m a sucker for a meme. No, really, I totally am because hello? I get to talk about my favorite subject ever* – me. Me.Me. Right there in the name, people.

Anyway, this time, I was tagged by flickrlovr who has a real, actual name, but much like MoFM, I think she keeps it all secret-like, so I won’t share it here.

The Rules (as posted here):
This a meme that no one tagged me for, but I’m tagging some of mah buddies, because I’m cool like that and I like to start trends. It’s pretty self-explanatory, no? Let’s call it The 10-For-10 Meme. Tell us/me/the world 10 interesting/random/quirky/normal/silly things about yourself…things you’re looking forward to, things about you personally, whatever you want. The world is your oyster. If you’re feeling extra sugary sweet (or just feeling bad for me that I have 3 newly acquired surgical laparoscopy holes in my stomach), link back and we’ll have a linkapalooza orgy partay.

1. I actually do feel bad about the holes in her tummy. Girlbits surgery = suckage. Huge suckage.
2. Flickrlovr’s list of ten people? Made me feel sort of funny in my tummy, kind of like I imagine I’ll feel when I meet The Bloggess in person (yes, I said when…I’m her new stalker #1 fan, but she shouldn’t be afraid of me because I’m not-so-secretly slightly agoraphobic which really puts the kibosh on most of my stalking fandom. I mean, seriously, what you get from me are like random e-mails and tweets about how much I admire/love/worship you which is nice, I guess, but it’s not exactly scary). You know, that “ZOMG! Please don’t think I’m a dork, and also? I’m totally a dork, but ZOMG again! Thanks for including me!” feeling? Yeah, that’s the one. She tagged Black Hockey Jesus, for crying in the night! The dude who not only took on mommyblogs, but took on Dooce herself. Love him or hate him, you gotta respect someone who does some shit like that. Srsly. Also? Why did I not know about this cat prior to, like, two days ago? WTF?
10. I think the preceding should count as eight things because hello? Loads of random facts there. Also? I’m lazy like that. Also, also? I’m still working on my Barking Mad! Dinner Party post, and y’all. Auds was being mean when she said to invite ten bloggers. How do I make that list? Seriously, y’all, I can come up with 20 names without even thinking much about it. Le. Sigh.

Okay, the ten people I’m tagging for this meme…
1. Amy at Milk Breath and Margaritas. I haven’t really “talked” to her in ages, and I want to rectify that, and I’m too wussy to just say, “Why did our blogs break up? Was it the F-bomb I kept dropping all casual-like?” So maybe this meme will get us talking again.
2. Matter of Fact Mommy because any time she unleashes her randomness, it is good.
3. Lindsey the Hairwrecker Extraordinaire who actually has fabulous hair.
4. Cary at List of the Day because…well, mostly because he’s really, really good at making lists of shit. Duh.
5. Myra at We Make Three because she’s been awfully quiet lately, and I wanted her to know I’m thinking of her.
6. Jaci at Ravings of a Mad Housewife because I think her list would be hi.lar.i.ous.
7. Eden at So Anyway… I question my judgment here because she doesn’t seem like the meme type.
8. Mel of Mel, A Dramatic Mommy because…well, just because.
9. Dooce because hope, it springs eternal.
10. Pioneer Woman. See previous reason.

Now, go forth and be random.

*I’m my favorite subject after my kids, my husband, my pets and my broken girlbits which probably count as “me” since they were a part of me, but then again, they’re no longer a part of me so maybe not.

You totally just made me all blushy. And since I’m all anxiety-ridden too we can just sit together and not talk. It’ll be awesome. Or awkward. Maybe both. I’m leaning more toward awesome though.

I was changing sheets in my massage room at the spa the other day and thinking…what will I write if someone tags me for a meme? Because even though I have few spare minutes lately, I’m still a blogger addict.

@Jenny, Bloggess – Awkwardly awesome…I can live with that.

@matteroffactmommy – I saw yours is posted, and I’m dying to go read it. I figured I’d be all “Ms. Responsible Blog Author” and come answer comments first. Okay, maybe it’s more “Ms. Checks Her E-mail and Answers Comments Immediately or Else She Forgets”, but let’s ignore that.

@Lindsey – This would be yet one more reason I love you.

@Eden – YAY! to both the meme and the t-shirt!

Awww great, just blame me for the lack of ten REAL things!

I jest!

Don’t feel bad about not having your invitees sorted. I’m ages away from being able to stop debating with myself over who I want to invite. It’s like watching a tennis match with two schitzophrenics.

@Auds at Barking Mad – I swear, this dinner party idea is the most brilliant idea while simultaneously being the most sadistic idea…which, come to think of it, might sum up my entire life right now. HA!
