Now from that title, you’re expecting some more heavy-duty stuff, right? HA! SUCKAS! No. Saturday was the official opening of the Stepford pool. During this annual event, I got a little nostalgic about Stepford. Wait…can I be nostalgic if we’re still here? Crap. I dunno.
I’m wondering if you guys do this thing when you’re moving where you think, “Man. I could have had so many friends here. I could have had the most rocking social life EVAR!!” because you forget that there was a reason you didn’t socialize with that many of your neighbors because you’re all caught up in being a shade maudlin about moving away, but later you remember that you were a hermit because you mostly didn’t really like that many people in the neighborhood after all. Holy run-on, ADD-driven sentence, Batman.

Lenna and her friends hang out looking for treasure. I don’t ever let them know that the only treasure they’re gonna find in the baby pool is stuff they really do not want. I figure that surprise is one life will teach them.
And now you know why Matt leaves the house and Guitar Hero II for these parties.
The fwimsoup was getting in the way of Tricia getting her nosh on. The fwimsoup had to go.

That looks like a blast, but yep, there’s a reason that you didn’t associate with the neighbors. The same reason that I don’t. Don’t need ‘em, don’t like ‘em, just lovin’ myself. ;)

Melanie - We have a few friends in the neighborhood, and I’ll miss them a lot. But given the reactions when we said we were moving away, we could have had more. I’m just a hermit. :grin:
