And yet again, D saves my day!

December 7th, 2007 by Steph · 2 Comments · Life

I was sitting here wracking my brain for something to write about that didn’t involve my own personal drama. I know — y’all you can hardly believe I don’t share everything here, can you, dear readers reader? (And yes, I know I have more than one reader, but I like sharing my linky-love while at the same time being self-deprecating. It plays well or something.) At any rate, my friend, D, sent me something she wrote and said I could feel free to share it with the world. So I am. It was especially good for me to read this today.

Things I Learned From My Garden
1. We all need to remove the old so that we can grow new buds.
2. Some of the most beautiful flowers are the most deadly.
3. Don’t over fertilize. Too much of a good thing can kill you.
4. Neglect can make anyone want to wither and die.
5. No matter how much love and attention you give something, it can still die.
6. Bugs are annoying, but they sometimes prove to be beneficial.
7. It’s necessary to replant. Sometimes we grow better and stronger in a different place.
8. We all like to be talked to and we all have a name.
9. You will flourish if you continue to put in the work.
10. We all benefit from fresh air, sunshine and water.
11. We all need seasons: Winter to rest, Spring to grow, Summer to play, and Autumn to prepare.
12. Don’t force something to live in your garden. It will either die or choke the life out of the rest of the good things in your garden.
13. Take advice, but think it through. What works for one person’s garden may not work in yours.
14. It’s nice to have friends nearby, so plant in multitude.
15. Sometimes in order to grow, we need some propping up.
16. Surround yourself with different kinds of flowers and plants. It’s more fulfilling to have variety.
17. If something’s not working, consult an expert. They can help you have a healthy garden.

So now y’all know that in addition to taking great photos, she’s a wonderful writer, too. I’ve yet to find something D can’t do. I’d hate her for that, but I love her so much, I can’t.

LOL! Thanks Steph. But you are equally talented in writing and photo taking, so I see no need for teh hatez. Never mind your talent for the CSS and HTML and being a great mom, and a great friend, comedian…and about a billion other things I could post. Hee.

    Love you!
