I recently learned that I don’t have the skills to do everything that needs to be done when designing a site. If you need someone to find you a fly layout or maybe even customize a banner/header, I can maybe do that. I can even tweak fonts and colors in those fly layouts sometimes. Beyond that, not so much. Or not as much as I thought when I volunteered to help D with setting up her own website.
However, with much patience on D’s part, it is done. Ain’t it purty? Yes, I know. It is beautiful. Perfect showcase for her beautiful photos. Not that I might be slightly biased about this or anything. Shush. At any rate, she’s got some beautiful stuff for sale. If you live in the Atlanta area, she’s also available for hire. So go look at her stuff. Buy something. Tell your friends about it even. :grin:
During obsessing over helping with D’s site, I got all inspired to revamp my own site. I even got ambitious enough to add a photo gallery. However, I think I’ll be sticking with good ol’ Picasa for the vast majority of my photos. Mostly that’s because I’m cheap and lazy. I don’t want to pay for extra storage, and Picasa lets me push a button to publish to my Picasa albums. That, my friends, is pretty much perfection, in my never-humble opinion. But still — I made a photo gallery for my “best” work. (And man alive, can you keep the comments about “If that’s her best, I sure don’t want to see her worst” to yourselves already?)
There’s not much else going on around here. OH! Except? I have a Wednesday with Tricia done. It’s ready to upload and post. Aren’t y’all proud of me a little? Yeah. Me too.
