My first Sushi Experience

Well, my first good sushi experience.  We went to Stix and it was delicious.  Mom, I swear it wasn’t fishy or gross at all.  It was so good.  Not only that but I already want to go back.  I’ve always heard about those people who were addicted to sushi and I thought…that can’t be possible.  Sushi?  How?  But now I’m a believer.  I want to go there now and binge eat it again and again and again. 

Since this is food related I thought I’d post some pictures I took.  This is the yummy Spring Onion Soup they give you when you order Sushi. It was really good and light.

Tempura Mushrooms

Bagel Roll – D, they had it and I agree with teh Lorna.  It was soooooo good.

I also loved this.  Spicy Salmon Roll.

Utter perfection.  I’m hooked, completely.

This is my face being non-plussed. Why is my face non-plussed, you ask? Because if teh Missy says sushi is good, sushi must be good. Teh Missy does not lie to teh Stephteph about food.

Stephteph’s face is non-plussed because in Stephteph’s life, sushi is also known as “bait”.

I used to think the same way you did. I was all “Pssh, dude its raw. Like it could swim off my plate if the fins were still attached. How can this be good.” But seriously, so so so so so good. Teh Missy would never lie to Stephteph. Evar. When you go (yeah I said when) make sure you go to a place people have said good things about. Nothing puts a buzzkill on going out for sushi if you go someplace crappy. Oh and btw, I have you as Stephteph in my phone LOL!

This is my face telling you that sushi is good, too, Steph. Spicy tuna rolls rule. Spider rolls rule. I think it might just be the wasabi that makes me like any of it, but that’s okay. And I hate you a little, Missy, for posting that picture of tempura because now I want that for breakfast. lol.

Robbi — I watched an episode of “Good Eats” and that got me started on wanting to maybe try it. Then my SIL came home from a cruise raving about the stuff. Now, Missy and you are saying to try it. So I’m going to. But I’ll wait until I can go with Missy so I can be sure it’ll be good shit. Although, I might talk D into going out for sushi after her tat.

Robbi – The tempura was really really good. The spicy tuna roll is good too. It might be a little too fishy for Steph at first though. I swear to God

Steph – you try a Bagel roll and you’ll be a believer. That or one with shrimp. Those are cooked too dude!!! Ged loooooovvvveeeedd the crunchy shrimp roll.
