Charges against teacher dropped in sex abuse case:
Marion County Circuit Judge Hale Stancil, however, said the lack of prison time for Lafave under the plea deal “shocks the conscience of this court.”
Ok, so what did this judge accomplish? I mean, really? He thought she should serve jailtime. Fine. But when everyone else is saying, “If you don’t take this, we’ll have to drop it,” he didn’t think maybe they meant it?? Good lord. I hope he’s an elected (as opposed to appointed) official.
