Michael Douglas Judges Brad & Angelina:

“I don’t know about Brad Pitt, leaving that beautiful wife to go hold orphans for Angelina,” Douglas, referring to ex-Mrs. Pitt Jennifer Aniston, snipes in an interview appearing in the new issue of GQ. “I mean, how long is that going to last?”

Some (probably senile dementia-induced) babbling about Renee Zellweger and Julia Roberts and their marital faux pas. Then…

As for his own marriage to Catherine Zeta-Jones, 36, now in its sixth year, Douglas says he’s “been fortunate. You learn to respect something of value and nurture it and treat it well.”
He was formerly married to Diandra Douglas from 1977-2000.

Gee, Michael, I dunno how long “Brangelina” will last — how long have you been married to Catherine Zeta-Jones again? Oh, right — since you left your ex-wife for her. P.K.B. At least Brad isn’t old enough to be Angie’s *father. Wait, maybe Michael’s ex-wife wasn’t “beautiful,” so that makes it totally unlike the Brad-Jennifer-Angelina thing. Oh, snap — I think I just rolled my eyes so hard I pulled a retina.

Seriously, what was this guy thinking? I’m certainly no fan of “Brangelina.” I haven’t been on “bump watch” (God, how I hate that phrase!!) at any point during all of this. I’ve been firmly on Team Aniston. However, I’m not a dirty old lecher living in a glass house with Catherine Zeta-Jones and putting my opinion of all of it in GQ, for chrissake. Does MD have a new movie coming soon? New TV show? I simply can’t think of another reason this man would think it was cool to opine on anyone else’s relationships other than to generate some publicity for his tired old ass.
