Orange Morning Gives Way to a Darker Afternoon:
After news of Whittington’s heart attack, Cheney’s office issued a statement — in the third person — saying: “The vice president said that his thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Whittington and his family.”
Nice. Very nice. Cheney shot this guy and didn’t bother to tell the public ’til…oh. Right. *He didn’t tell the public. The owner of the property did. Now that the man has had a heart attack, Cheney can’t make a statement in person? Fly out to see the guy? *Something?
What pisses me off is that I’ve been vocal in my support of this administration. It hasn’t been perfect, but no administration ever has. And this one’s been pretty good, if you ask me. But I have to admit, Cheney has simply gone too far this time. Third person statement, my *ass.
