So part of me is happy to read this. Good for them giving it another shot, trying to make it work. Especially for the sake of their 3 girls (Hailie, Alaina and Whitney).
Now, the rest of me is clamoring to be heard. What the *fuck are these two thinking? In any article I’ve read, the *best description of their 17 year relationship is “on again, off again.” Most publications call it “rocky” and “tumultuous.” Now look, I’m all for endless optimism, people. But this goes beyond that. This heads into “blind, stupid, unreasoning faith in human ability to change.” These two couldn’t make it work *before fame, fortune and drugs, but they can make it work *now? *Again? Really?
I wish them the best of luck. I really do. If nothing else, I’d like to see those 3 little girls have a good life. I’d love for Em and Kim to find the happiness that’s seemed to elude them for so long. Mostly, I’d love to see them prove all of us doubters absolutely, unequivocally *wrong. Let love conquer all just once, damnit. (And if Em and Kim make it, that “once” won’t go to Brit and K-Fed. :shudder:)
**And please note, I’ve left out references to Eminem’s songs about Kim. His detractors will have already pointed those out ad nauseum. His supporters will point out that Eminem is just Marshall’s *stage persona,* not the *real Marshall. So I stuck with assessing based solely on public record. You’re welcome.
